Lots of exciting things are happening here at Oakleaf Mennonite Farm, where we are in full swing for the 2011 season.
The farm has several wonderful new additions. For example…we have added a half an acre of land, allowing us to grow more food. Plus a greenhouse was constructed and is currently full of seedlings which will be ready for our plant sale this spring.
Then there is Katie, our terrific intern who comes to us from Kansas.
Please join us as we continue on this journey of healthy eating, reconciliation, and community.
Who would have thought that Atlanta would be covered up with 5+ inches of snow in January? When it snows in Atlanta, Atlanta shuts down. Ask the truckers who were stuck out on I-285–okay maybe don’t ask them….
We had our first pick-ups this week. And I took some pictures. I’m including the welcome note to our shareholders. Maybe it will help those of you further away feel like you’re kind of joining with us as we kick off this season and our many endeavors together as we invest in this farm…
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
